My baby girl isn't really a baby any more. Sad face. Even though the baby stage is quickly winding down the little girl she is becoming is so stinking fun it makes it's ok to see the baby go. It felt like it happened over night. I would say right around her birthday at the end of November is when she started the quick transition. She started walking on her birthday. I think her cousins being around really lit the fire and got her moving. Ever since then it's been one thing after the next. Just in the past few weeks I could see a major difference in her ability to really understand what I was saying. She comes when I ask her to(unless we're outside and she's on the run, she's purposefully ignoring me, or she's hitting the tv), she will drop her pasi in the crib when I ask her to which helps me to know she's not a pasi addict : ) even though we need to get rid of it soon.
She still refuses to learn how to get down off the bed and couches the right way. She likes to go off head first or stand up and run off. Luckily she's only fallen twice (both on daddy's watch) and she was fine both times. She also getting more adventurous loves to go up steps but again won't learn how to get down. A little stubbornness isn't so bad I guess.

She started giving open mouth kisses on demand and her aunt Charlcie taught her how to blow kisses. The other day I was sitting on the ground going through some things and she came up to me and wrapped her arms around me and gave me a huge hug. I melted. She's only done it a few times since.
Tantrums are definitely a new thing for her too. She hasn't had one that was too ridiculous yet but she has her moments it's usually when I make her come in from outside or she wants to walk at a store instead of having me hold her. Luckily she gets over them just as fast as they come on.

Here she is happy as can be walking around in front of the house.

After I took away her Pei Wei chopstick so they wouldn't be in the picture. haha It's fun to be a parent.
Still loving bath time. Now she'll hear the water running and run into the bathroom. She also knows the drill now. She stands there and helps to take her clothes off to hop in. She will hold her arms up and pick up her feet.
She's still a great eater and will eat most foods. It's hard to say what her favorites are anymore she really loves fruit and vegetables, meats and cheeses and pastas and snacks. Oh and she's now a chocolate lover (it was inevitable) and likes to sip grandma's soda when Mom's not around. My favorite is when she says yummm after she eats chocolate or something she likes. She's learning how to use a fork and is doing pretty good with it.

She loves books but the ones with shiny and fuzzy things are her favorite. She also loves to dance to music. I need to get a video of that soon. She loves all her toys that sing and play music. She also loves when I sing her songs. I think Itsy Bitsy Spider is still her favorite but she likes the rest too.

She's not saying exact words yet but she's mimicking a lot and will say mamamama, dadadada, no no no no, don't don't don't : ), and other random things I try to get her to say. My dad is convinced that she says nay when she's around the horses but I'm not quite sure.
She also loves being outside and being around other kids. I've been trying to get her out to park day a lot more and she is crazy about it even if it's over nap time.
Scarlett will also sit through a whole episode every once in a while of Super Why or Backyardagains and also likes Sesame Street during breakfast.

Recently found out she is crazy for balloons when we were at Charlcie and Brittney's beauty school graduation and she would not give them up.

Here she is begging Britt for the balloons.
Side note: I'm really going to miss having our roommates here a few nights a week. They really were so much fun and we will miss them but we are so proud of accomplishing their goal of getting it done in a year! I may have to give them their own blog tribute.
There are so many cute and fun things but I'm tired and that's all I've got for now.
So in conclusion. Scarlett is awesome.
