New Post!!

Well hello fellow bloggers it has been way to long since my last post. Get ready for lots of pics! I'm so close to being done with my internship only two short weeks away and I'm so excited. I'm finishing up at Chandler Unified School District which is the district I grew up in so it's fun. Here's a picture of my fav fellow Dietitians. We all caught up at Melissa's baby shower today. I love these girls. Melissa's such a cute pregnant girl! A few weekends back a bunch of girls from high school got together for dinner out! It was so much fun seeing everyone again. Hope we can all get together more often!

Last month was my sister Nicki's birthday! We all went out for dinner and had a really good time laughing the night away. Charlcie was being really entertaining that night : ).
Nicki and her boyfriend Jason.
Halloween is always so fun we get together and have our annual pumpkin carving contest where we get together at my parents, my mom buys and makes way too much Mexican food and pig out then get serious for some pumpkin carving.
Here's my Grandpa and Grandma Evans joining in on the fun.
Charlcie wanted to be in the picture hahaha.
My pumpkin was really good I won most the neighbors votes!! But everyone did a really good job...well except for maybe Charlcie and my dad. And Jon's wasn't that great but it was a step up from his lame molar last year.
Jon took forever sketching his ideas and then his took like 2 mintues to carve. Better luck next year baby.
My dad is hilarious he still hasn't gotten the cleaning out the inside down it takes him forever...maybe the gloves slow him down.
All of us with our finished products. We had a really good time. For Halloween night Jon and I got invited by some of Jon's dental classmates to a Murder Mystery party. It was so much fun pretending to be someone else and trying to solve the mystery. We definitely want to do it again!
I went to Mason, Kassidi's little boy's 1st Birthday party! I can't believe it's been a year since I met him in the hospital. He is such a handsome boy, he really liked that cupcake but he was being to neat about it so we had to give him the mustache.
Finally Jody and Dieter made it out to Arizona with their little girl Maddison! She is just so cute and fun to have around. They made the long 4 day drive from Virginia, we're so happy to have them living in Arizona at least for the time being!
I met Jody and Maddi at Barros for little dinner tonight. So nice to see you girls anytime now.
Last night we had another fun girls night out for Amey's Bachelorette Party. We rented a party bus with a stripper pole and drove around having lots of fun. Dantley had a pole dancing class from a previous bachelorette party and we learned a few moves. I'm pretty sore today and have a new found respect for the ability of a pole dancer.
Melissa, Nicki and me on the bus.
So that's just the camera captured moments of the past few months. It's definitely been busy but lots of fun. Things probably aren't going to slow down with the holidays right at our door stop. Well that's all for now, hope everyone is doing great!

Glendale!

We did it! We made the move, we are officially Glendalians! It's truly a beautiful house and Jon love, love, loves being so close to school. Jon had his first week of his 2nd year of dental school and it was pretty laid back, no homework or studying yet. They did start drilling on teeth and he has a new found respect for dentist. What took them a few hours to do right one of the faculty came and did in 30 seconds. Ha learning is fun. I'm happy we're out here but I will miss being so close to family and friends. There is alot of unpacking and cleaning up still to do but I will post pics when things are more finished looking. Life is going good. I'm feeling alot more comfortable at my clinical rotations at the hospital, I still have a lot to learn but I feel like less of an idiot than I did before. I only have 3 weeks left there then I'm off to other community and food service rotations.

Other news:
A few weeks ago the Barnes came to town for Jody's baby shower. So fun to see everyone and celebrate the little girl that should be showing her face in a few short weeks. Here's a few fun pics.
Beautiful mommy to be Jody!
Jenny, Kendyl, Jamie, and Marge
Me and Jenny were twins funny huh, even down to the sandles.
I wish I had more pics from the week but I'm getting worse and remembering to take pictures.
Jon, Bruce, and August also rode in their 125+ mile bike ride in Show Low. They did great!
Looks like he's in alittle bit of pain.
August pushing up a hill!Bruce will his cool guy mirror, but hey if he keeps you from getting hit by a car go for it!
I don't know if Jon will want to do another ride that long in a while but he's definitely been going on much longer rides than he was before now without a problem. He lost over 15lbs this summer from all his biking! I wish he could have gotten a little job too but I guess you can't have everything. : )
K well I must go and get ready for church. We go to our new ward today, we loved our last ward and we will miss everyone there, especially all the nursery and primary kids! All I can ask is that there are a few younger couples and we're not the youngest in the ward because lets face it we aren't THAT young anymore to be the youngest in a family ward.

Neglect.

I feel like I've been neglecting my blog but once I get on here I feel like I'm neglecting my internship work (which is endless). Any who just a few updates on the past month!

Last weekend we went out to Show Low with Melissa and August for the boys to practice for their 123 mile bike race out there in two weeks. They rode about 95miles from Show Low to Springerville and back! Crazy you couldn't pay me enough. So while the boys did that me and Melissa rode our cruiser bikes to a near by pond and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Then we did a little shopping at a local boutique. Nice relaxing weekend but was not without studying or homework. Long road to Springerville over many rolling hils. Jon and August on the road.
Me getting friendly w/ the bear. Other recent events were Kelsey my little cousins bridal shower last week. It's so fun and exciting to see my cousins fall in love and get married. We are so happy for you Kels!
At the end of July my mom and I went to go see Wicked! It was so so so good, I would definitely go see it again. I want to get the soundtrack. We went down for the lottery tickets before the show. There were around 200 people with there names in to get 10pairs of tickets for $25 a piece. So of course we didn't win but the lady that was sitting next to us we were chatting with before the drawing won a pair and so did her daughter! What are the odds. So they sold us their second pair! We were so grateful and excited.
Other great news...JON PASSED HIS BOARDS!!! I wasn't worried but am still so grateful that he's gotten over that first hurtle and has the rest of the month off to relax and move us into the house we're renting from my parents in Glendale.: ) I'm so proud of you baby you deserve it after all your hard work and studying.
We also took my parents boat out to the lake w/ a bunch of friends from high school. So fun! We were all pretty sore and tired and sun burnt by the end of the day.
Now I'm just trying to keep my head above water with my internship, I'm in my clinical rotations at the hospital. I am learning tons and really enjoying it but it's hard and somedays I just want to cry and do. : ) Well that's all for now. I must go work on a presentation.

California.Iowa.Lake Powell.Internship

Can you tell what this is? It's a firefly! I'd never seen one before. Something new for me in Iowa among Tornado warnings and unpredictable weather.

I have to play catch up with my blog posts. Things have been pretty busy this past month. I'll just start from the beginning and work to the present.
Well the beginning of June we took a quick weekend trip to California with my family. We stayed with Tempestt and Brandon on our way out in El Cajon. They have a cute little place out there, we had fun chowing down Mexican food in their town. Then we hung out at Newport and Huntington Beach for the weekend playing on the beach. We also caught Sierra's 1st birthday party, she's growing so fast. Sexy pic jon.
One of Jon's fav taco shops.
Dillon at our bonfire at Huntington. It got pretty chilly.
Boche ball on the beach.
Dillon and Jon is the water.
Me and my momma workin on our tans.
Brandon, Tempestt, Me and Cha
Beautiful sunset after a tornado warning. Ya we had a few of those while we were there. Just went and hung out in the basement for a little bit. : ) Never experienced that before.

River were we got picked up they bus to go to the university.
What it looked like anywhere outside of the cities. Endless fields of corn and green. Pretty but it gets alittle boring. I missed the AZ landscape.
Bell tower at Iowa State University in Ames. The campus was beautiful it was designed by the same architect as the Central Park. You could never see the next building until you were right in front of it.
The weekend I got back from Iowa my family had their annual Lake Powell Trip. It's always so much fun. This year a huge part of my family from Utah made it. It's always fun to see them. I only was able to stay a few day since I needed to be back to start my rotations as the hospital but Lake Powell is one of my favorite trips. The beautiful water, with fun water sports, good food, and tons of laughs with the family. But that's pretty much the basics of what I've been up to.
Love the lake!
We found a pretty nice spot right in a little cove.
The fam on top of the house boat. Can't wait until next year!

Graduation, Disneyland, Memorial Day, lots of pics

Life has been full of changes lately. First Jon finished his first year of dental school!! Amazing, now he is on his summer break and loving it. We went to an end of the year BBQ with some of Jon's dental buddies it was a lot of fun. Since then Jon's just been riding his bike alot and sleeping the rest of the day. And we've got to spend a lot of time together.
Another big change is I'm no longer working as a diet tech. My last day was Thursday and I'm so excited to be done! Now I have two weeks off to hang out and get ready for my internship. Then I start my internship by heading off to Iowa for two weeks in the middle on June. I'm really happy to starting my internship soon but I'm also getting really nervous. Wish me luck.
Then this weekend we had my sister Charlcie's High School Graduation!! I can't believe my little sis graduated. She's not really sure what she's going to do next but she'll be great at what ever she decides. I think she might want to go up to Utah and go to school there a while. It wasn't just my sister graduation it was also my cousins Brittney, Bryce, Rainer and Paige (well Paige's was last week at Mountain View). Crazy though five cousins in one grade. My mom and all three of her sister had kids the same year. We've always had tons of cousins around and it's been fun being so close. The graduation was nice and went pretty fast then we had an after party with Ned's subs at my parents. The Graduates: Brittney, Charlcie, Paige, Rainer, Bryce
Me, Melissa, Nicki, Tempestt
The girls
The Fulmer Fam minus Weston
We had a pretty hilarious dance party with my Aunt Carrie as the star. It was a good time had by all.
There's just soda in those cups. I think...jk
On my mother in law Karen's birthday we headed out to California to take advantage of the free pass to Disneyland on your birthday. It was alot of fun. It was me, Karen, Bruce, Jenny, Sierra, Mandy, and Margaret. We had a good time on the rides, eating all the junk food, people watching, etc etc. Hope you had a memorable birthday Karen. Sierra our niece is just the cutest she's just starting to walk and making tons of cute faces and sounds. We can never get enough of her while we're there. I promised Jody I'd eat a churro for her. Yum. We wish you could have been there with us.
The Birthday Girl.
I've never gotten wet on Spalsh Mountain but apparently you can. Jenny's wet bum
Margaret was drenched from head to toe! ha SO funny. Sorry Marge
Our sweet little Sierra
Eating lunch
Then last weekend we got to meet Billy's girlfriend Caitlin. We enjoyed the warm AZ weather and swam around on Memorial Day. My cousin Belinda also came out for the weekend. She's so fun to have around. We played some boche ball and did some swimming too. Man I wish I had a tan. Nicki and Beezer I stole this from Facebook so it's not full size.
This is Billy and Caitlin. I stole this pic from Bruce.
Well that's about it for the past few weeks.

Happy Mothers Day and Swimming Fun!

Everybody loves moms! Aren't they just great. They're always there for us. My mom is amazing she's so loving and is a great friend. Jon's Mom is great too she did a great job with Jon and continues to be one of the most caring people I've ever met. Sunday was nice we went to my parents to talk with Weston who's serving a mission in Columbia. It was so fun talking to him he's such a goofy kid. Then we made dinner for Karen and had a little birthday celebration for Bruce and my birthday. Tomorrow I am flying out to California to go to Disneyland for Karen's birthday. So much birthday fun!

My mom's so great she'll even be on Jon's team (losing team) for badmitten in the snow. What is Jon wearing??Karen being goofy with her partner is crime.
Jon's mom ALWAYS makes double layer chocolate cake for birthday which is so good. But I told Jon I was kind of bored of chocolate cake so Karen made me my own fun fetti cup cakes YUM..and no Jenny they are not just for 2 year old bday parties.
Bruce and I blowing out the candles. Bruce is wearing his new reading light. Also this weekend Jon took a little break from his studies and hung out with me for the day. We had tons of fun soaking up the sun by the pool at my parents house in Glendale we're moving to. When we got there we found a gigantic Gopher snake in the backyard. Kind of creepy but supposedly they aren't dangerous? Then we grilled up some yummy burgers. Jon knows how to make a mean burger. Only one week left until Jon's done with his first year of dental school! It's kind of crazy how quick it's gone. Probably doesn't feel that way to Jon who's had to slave over the books for the past nine months. Well that's all for now. Hope everyone is enjoying the 100 degree weather by the pool.
Isn't this guy huge. I even tried to pull it's tail like they always do on TV but he slithered away. Good thing because since Jon told me it wasn't poisonous I sort of thought it wouldn't try to bite me.
Love the sun!
Yummy. I know it kind of looks like eggs but it's really just cheese melted over onions.

What's new with us.

Well this past week has been pretty eventful. First- Sunday night I found out that I got into one of the Dietetic Internships that I applied for! It's a distance program through Iowa State University. So I will have to go to Iowa for two and half weeks in June (while missing my family's annual trip to Lake Powell which I am devastated about). Then I will come back to AZ and do all the rotations I set up here. The internship will run from June to November. At that point I will be able to take the exam to get my Registered Dietitians License! The program is pretty expensive but it should be worth it in the end.
Second-Wednesday was my 24th Birthday. Time sure does go by fast but I've had lots of fun in my 24 years on earth. For my bday my in laws took me out to lunch at Mimi's Cafe yum. Then for dinner my fam took me out to eat at Texas roadhouse where I got to ride the saddle and everything. After dinner we went to my parents for gifts and homemade pazooki's yum and a little guitar hero. It was a nice mellow birthday. Thanks to everyone for your warm birthday wishes I really appreciate it! Make a wish!

At Texas Roadhouse.
My sexy husband. Isn't he just irresistable? ha
Next I got a much needed hair cut. My hair had gotten very scraggly and damaged. So I got about 3inches or more cut off yesterday. It feels SO much better. You can't really tell from my self portrait here but it looks so much healthier.
Since I got into my internship I put in my notice at work. I'm really happy to be moving forward in my career since it has been a year since I graduated college. My last day of work will be May 29th!
Lastly Jon only has three weeks of class and one week of finals before he's done with his first year of dental school!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are so excited, but he will just be studying all summer for his boards. I was looking forward to our last summer off together since he doesn't get anymore summers after this one but now that I'm in my internship it pretty much foiled any fun summer plans.
But that's what's new with us.
